Slowly, Agitated was composed between 2010 and 2013. This two-movement work requires a five-octave marimba. The piece is very advanced, incorporating techniques such as triple-lateral strokes, one-handed rolls, quick one-handed interval shifts and hand-to-hand independence. The piece also requires a high degree of musical maturity and patience. 

This work won the 2018 Great Plains International Marimba Festival - composition category, and was awarded 2nd place at the 2018 International Percussion Institute call-for-scores.
